Well its time for another update.

There are too many things to put in this one post... so ill sum things up.

Boxed style layout used for more pages.

Reworked the messaging system.

- Now we have a details section and everything looks... better then before.

Added email notification.

tested most of the functionality under IE7.

Delete code is active.

- Delete trade

- Delete template

- Delete website

- - All of which now use a light box display.

Adding a new web page will automatically redirect you to the add a template.

Red stars are given to values needed to be added (see add template, and add site)

An issue causing some mystery errors, coming from some testing code, which somehow found its way into our Beta site has been removed and fixed. (and fixed again)

Regenerating your EMBED code will no longer ask you to report how you clicked on the button.

An issue with 2 developers overwriting each others changes has been fixed. You can now deny a trade request!

highlight code now works well. All embeds on the page will highlight, but the name of the highlight code will be displayed above the highlight code.

Edit site should work much better!

Much easier to find out where the template is even if the template is empty!

A much smoother ride when adding a template for IE7 users

Wording has been modified. Since i not engrish vrey goood ;)

and alot of other little things.

Bug Squash Update #1

First of all, thank you for all the bugs you guys have submitted!

  • Highlight code on browse trade partners should now work fine
    • Plans are to make the highlight a nicer color.
    •
    • titles of each link list shown on the page display above the list.
  • You should no longer be able to create a embed code for a webpage that is blank!
  • edit a template now is organized by website, and it looks better.

We are currently working on alot of features but some of the changes you should expect in the near future are

  • Delete trade agreement
  • cancel trade request
  • delete template
  • delete site
  • delete account

We did not forget about these key features... we just need to revamp the code to work with some key changes

A Site I always wished existed...

Posted by: Simon in Untagged  on

Simon

I consider myself very fortunate to be a part of a project that is developing something that I've wished had existed years ago. A place for webmasters to come and work, and a tool to help me do one of the most important tasks in my day-to-day.

I'm not sure how I fumbled into the role of being the "face" of the LB Dev team, but I certainly am grateful for it. I definately feel up to the task of being the link between you the user, and the dev team.

We have many upcoming features that will only expand LinkBIGGER to soaring new heights of protection and ease of use, but of course we are fans of the "collaborative mind" or what's been dubbed as "Mass Collaboration" - Many minds are better than a few, and therefore we encourage you to constantly post your wishes in the suggestions forum, and your bug reports in the bug reports forum. This will only help to make a tool that better serves the  webmaster community as a whole.

We look forward to collaborating with all of you, whether you have a small feature request, a little idea, or a massive feature that you'd even like to help develop.

What Drives The LB Devs At 3:29AM ?

Simon

Development of anything is never easy...and as a first post to the dev blog here at LinkBIGGER.com I decided to pay a little hommage to one of the various methods we here in the LB offices to jolt our team members awake when they start to complain about sleep deprivation.

Coffee? Energy Drinks? A swift kick to the face?

No! Steve Ballmer!
